Anxiety Comes in Many Forms
Anxiety can take many forms. Some people experience constant worry that’s difficult to quiet, while others struggle with panic attacks, social anxiety, or fears that begin to limit daily life. Anxiety disorders may include generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, health anxiety, and specific phobias. While the experiences may look different from person to person, they often share common patterns of heightened threat sensitivity, avoidance, and a nervous system that has become stuck in a state of over-alertness. Therapy focuses on understanding these patterns and developing practical ways to gradually shift them so that anxiety becomes more manageable and life can feel more open again.
As a Certified Anxiety Specialist, I bring specialized training to help clients understand and work through the many ways anxiety can show up. I provide tools to work with the body and mind to ease the pain of non-functional anxiety.
